370K views for a Jira app, built on SEO-first video

We produce explainer videos for ActivityTimeline, a resource planning and time-tracking app for Jira.

Two years of steady work turned YouTube into a channel that ranks, converts, and lowers churn.

A recent explainer we produced for ActivityTimeline.

Why video became the growth lever

Most buyers of a Jira app do not read a landing page first. They search a problem on Google or YouTube, watch someone solve it, then install. Video is the one place where a buyer sees the product actually work.

So we did not chase views for the sake of views. Every video answers a real question people already search for. That is what turns a tutorial into a source of installs and fewer support tickets.

Across the produced tutorials, average click-through rate reached 6.26%, and the best videos landed near 15%. That is roughly three times the usual 4 to 5% benchmark on YouTube.

How each video gets made

01

Pick a vector

We start from a product area that can turn a viewer into a user: capacity planning, time tracking, reports.

02

Check the competition

We look at how many videos cover the topic, how good they are, and how weak their thumbnails are. Gaps are the opening.

03

Mine the search data

We pull Google Search Console data in Sitechecker and sort by impressions and CTR. High intent plus low video competition is the sweet spot.

04

Produce and optimise

We script, record, and edit a clear video, then optimise the title, thumbnail, and description so it ranks on YouTube and Google.

Super valuable video content at a reasonable price.

We are really happy to work with Gravitately for almost 2 years now. During this period we released dozens of explainer and educational videos about our app, which had a positive impact on conversions and a decrease in churn. It is easy to communicate our needs and we never had issues with revisions, as they were always done promptly. My highest recommendation.
